About Judy

Judy trained at the BBC and worked there for 16 years,14 of them as a make-up designer chief. In 1978 she left to work as a freelance make-up designer.

In 1992 she opened her first make-up training studio in Uckfield and in 2003 a second studio was established at the Brighton Film School.

This year, the continuing demand for Judy’s services resulted in the extension of her studio at Uckfield into two studio working rooms. All training now comes out of these two studios at Uckfield.

Over the years Judy has worked with a wide range of artists and programmes

she has travelled abroad for many of the consignments, she still works professionally and just loves the job!

Judy's work has been very varied over the years and includes TV; TV Historical series; Musical DVDs; Films; Commercials, Theatre as well as Photographic and Editorial shoots. Judy has worked with many celebrities on personal assignments.

Judy conducts many of the courses herself thereby insuring the continuity of student progress which leads eventually to their Professional Diploma. After completing their course a student is fully qualified to start a professional career in this industry.

Continuing support is given to all students after qualifying. Judy also teaches NVQ at Colleges in East Sussex and holds workshops for A level drama students and Amateur Dramatic Groups. She has also worked in front of the cameras appearing on Sky TV; interviewed by Belgian and Dutch television; and worked on a number of TV educational programmes.

Many of Judy's students go on to become successful professional make-up and hair artists.

Judy continues to work professionally in this industry and students can come with her if they so wish and gain invaluable experience.
